About GFIC Facts about the organization GFIC was established in 1956 by business sponsors. We are classified as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. GFIC represents Georgia's 25 fully accredited, private, non-profit, liberal arts colleges and universities. We have raised more than $38.8 million in total contributions since 1956. We provide financial aid to students. GFIC educates Georgia citizens on how private education serves the state. Facts about the member institutions They enroll more than 60,000 students. More than 3/4 of GFIC schools have tuition of less than $12,000 per year. Over 40% of enrollment is made up of minority students. Nearly 70% of students receive some form of financial aid. Financial impact of institutions on Georgia exceeds $5.8 billion. They provide 82,000 jobs in the state. Facts about giving through GFIC GFIC is an efficient way to assist Georgia's private colleges with just one gift. GFIC gifts are unrestricted, unless otherwise stipulated.
