Paine College, founded in 1882, is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. The beautiful 64-acre campus is located in the heart of Augusta, Georgia. This four-year, private, co-educational institution provides a liberal arts education of the highest quality that emphasizes academic excellence, ethical and spiritual values, social responsibility, and personal development to prepare men and women for positions of leadership and service in the African-American community, the nation and the world. Students can earn a bachelor of arts or bachelor of science degree in majors through the School of Arts & Sciences, and the School of Professional Studies.

Paine College students learn the process of learning to “love truth and to seek it above material things.” Paine College aims to produce an enriched environment where students can create a path to success in their chosen profession. Our students have the opportunity to pursue internships, engage in global experiences, and conduct meaningful research in their respective fields of study.
