Founded in 1897, Piedmont College is a comprehensive liberal arts institution with an enrollment of 2,120 students at campuses in Demorest and Athens. Graduate programs in education also are offered at off-campus locations across Georgia.

The Demorest campus includes residence halls housing more than 650 students, while the Athens campus is designed for commuting students and is located in the heart of Georgia’s Classic City. Piedmont offers more than 50 undergraduate majors in the arts and sciences, business, education, and nursing and health sciences. Graduate programs are offered in business, education and nursing.

With a long history of producing many of Georgia’s top educators, Piedmont was recently selected by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation in Princeton, New Jersey, as one of five Georgia universities to participate in a program designed to help attract the nation’s very best science, technology, engineering and math candidates to the teaching profession.

Piedmont is a member of the NCAA Division III USA South Athletic Conference and fields teams for men and women in 17 sports. Last year, more than half of the Piedmont student-athletes earned Academic All-Conference awards in the USA South.
