Thomas University is an independent, not-for-profit, regionally-accredited institution offering associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees. TU has 23 degree programs with a variety of concentrations. Established in 1950 in Thomasville, Georgia, Thomas University provides quality education through a dynamic learning environment. Its mission is to provide an educational experience that explores and develops each student’s full potential.
Thomas University offers undergraduate business and nursing programs in China with Chinese Central government approval at Chinese partner universities. It offers online degree programs and operates satellite programs in Tallahassee, Florida (R.N.-B.S.N., Bachelor of Social Work); Moultrie, Georgia (R.N.-B.S.N.); Bainbridge, Georgia (Teacher Certification Programs); and six sites throughout the state of Georgia (M.Ed.).
In 2012, just one mile from its Main Campus, the University opened its West Campus where students have access to a brand new gymnasium and Student Life Center. The focal point of the Main Campus is Smith-Bonvillian Hall, a 19,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art academic building that opened in the fall of 2013.
Thomas University is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Sun Conference. For the past four years, it has been recognized by the NAIA as a Five State Champions of Character Institution – a program that instills and embraces good character and values in sports.
