Piedmont is a classic liberal arts college offering undergraduate degrees in
24 major areas. The college also has a growing graduate school with programs
in education and business administration.
The past six years mark one of the most intense periods of growth at
Piedmont College in its 106-year history. During this time, the college
opened five major new buildings and a second campus in Athens, GA, while
more than doubling enrollment to just under 2,000 students.
New academic programs include undergraduate degrees in mass communications,
environmental sciences, and interdisciplinary studies. In 2001, Piedmont
graduated its first nursing students from the new R.H. Daniel School of
Nursing.
At Piedmont, we commit ourselves to the intellectual growth and to the
social development of our students. It is our goal that students graduate from Piedmont College
with the knowledge and the skills that make for a successful and satisfying
life.
