The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) is a private, accredited, coeducational college, preparing students for careers in the visual and performing arts, design, the building arts, and the history of art and architecture. The college emphasizes learning through individual attention in a positively oriented environment and is open to both resident and nonresident students. The college has locations in Savannah and Atlanta, Georgia, and in Lacoste, France. Online programs are offered through SCAD e-Learning.
The college offers intellectual diversity that enriches, a learning experience that challenges, and an environment that is creatively centered. A balanced fine arts and liberal arts curriculum has attracted students from every state and from more than 80 countries, making SCAD one of the largest art and design colleges in the United States. Current enrollment is nearly 8,039 students.
