With a liberal arts foundation and a professional focus, Thomas University in Thomasville, Ga., offers numerous undergraduate degrees and a small but growing number of graduate programs. Our low student/teacher ratio provides our students special attention other universities can't offer.
Founded in 1950, Thomas University began as a Baptist college. The school converted to a community college in the '70s, then became totally independent and named Thomas College in 1979. Four-year accreditation was gained in 1990 and the first graduate programs, the master's of business administration and the master's in rehabilitation counseling, were added in 1998 and 1999, respectively.
Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Thomas College became Thomas University in January 2000. The University continues its history of positive growth and a highly respected tradition of excellence in education.
