Wesleyan College was founded in 1836 as the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women. Today, it is regarded as one of the nation's finest liberal arts colleges and is consistently ranked as one of America's Best Colleges by U.S. News & World Report and Princeton Review. Wesleyan offers 35 majors, 29 minors, and 8 pre-professional programs, plus MA and MBA graduate degree programs.
