GICA established the procurement program to assist our member campuses in their efforts containing the costs associated with higher education. The participation by GICA members in our procurement agreements is voluntary. In some case, GICA may receive a modest amount of support from certain purchasing agreements to assist in defraying administrative costs.
Many national procurement agreements are available to our member institutions through the relationship GICA has with E&I and the Coalition for College Cost Savings. Our national contracts are marked with an * below.
GICA also works in conjunction with our Procurement Advisory Council (PAC), comprised of staff members from our member colleges and universities, to review products and services, negotiate pricing agreements with preferred vendors, and evaluate the success of our purchasing agreements. PAC reviews proposals from local and regional companies.
